Laura Na Blankholm holds a masters degree in Visual and Media Anthropology from Freie Universität. She is a lecturer in the course: Images, Race & Representation (Decolonized).
Her research is circumventing processes of minoritization and representation and her focal area is in the intersection of grassroot movements, collaborative media and postcolonial-/critical race theory.
She is a co-founder and member of the Copenhagen based journal and decolonial collective Marronage, that engages with activist communities, arts, culture and academia to mark links between historical colonisation and current policies in our contemporary. Furthermore she discusses media ethics and representation within the framework of the Association for a Responsible Press.
She is currently working as a journalist, media consultant and as an ethnographic research assistant at the IT University of Denmark.
