Fundamentals of online education
The core module “Fundamentals of Online Education” provides a comprehensive theoretical and methodological framework for understanding, analyzing, and designing online and AI-supported education in higher education. It lays the academic foundations for a critical examination of the transformation of teaching and learning through artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and globally networked learning environments.
New technologies for online education
This module teaches students the technological foundations for designing innovative digital learning environments. It examines how new technologies are changing online education, teaching practices, and global knowledge exchange.
Generative AI
The profile module “Generative AI” focuses on the conceptual, technical, and pedagogical foundations of creating and delivering AI-generated media in educational contexts. The module explores how generative artificial intelligence is changing the production of learning materials, knowledge transfer, and instructional design in higher education and professional learning environments.
Agentic AI Systems
The “Agentic AI Systems” profile module examines the design and application of autonomous and semi-autonomous artificial intelligence systems in educational contexts. It explores how agentic AI systems, such as intelligent tutoring agents and learning companions, can support personalized learning, feedback, and interaction in online and digital learning environments.
AI/VR/XR for Education
The AI/VR/XR Scenarios profile module focuses on the design, implementation, and critical evaluation of immersive and embodied learning environments that combine artificial intelligence, humanoid robotics, and virtual and augmented reality technologies. The emphasis is on learning scenarios in which cognition is closely linked to physical action, perception, and interaction—the basic principles of embodied learning.
