Economic education and business ethics: Students develop concept for foundation communication

July 26, 2021

During the 2021 summer semester, students enrolled in the B.A. Journalism and Corporate Communications program participated in a practical project focusing on communication by foundations in the areas of business ethics and economic education.
With the Hamburg Foundation for Business Ethics and the Dr. Jürgen Meyer Foundation, two non-profit partners made it possible to apply the course content to the field of non-profit communication.

“The communication concept that the students developed and presented gave us many excellent ideas for communicating our educational projects, which we will incorporate into our work in the future,” said Dr. Jesco Kreft, managing director of the Hamburg Foundation for Business Ethics.

After a briefing by the two foundation directors, the students identified the strategic goals for communicating an economic education project, carried out a target/actual comparison, and created a comprehensive communication concept with measures for online and offline communication.

“I am delighted that, despite the coronavirus situation, we were able to carry out this collaboration with the two foundations using digital tools over the summer,” said Media University professor Christian Möller. The project took place as part of the practical elective module in the sixth semester of the Journalism and Corporate Communications (Bachelor, German only) degree program.
