Design Thinking-Projekt with practical partners
As part of the Design Thinking course in cooperation with the creative agency C4 Berlin and the companies Schindler and Inno2grid, our master’s students worked with Prof. Jenny Bergström to develop ideas for so-called FlexPoint containers.
Degree program: M.A. Communication Design and Creative Strategies.
Instead of driving around the city all day with their tools, FlexPoints help Schindler (manufacturer of elevators and escalators) maintenance technicians save time and reduce CO2 emissions by enabling them to cover shorter distances with light electric vehicles (LEVs).
As FlexPoint containers are distributed throughout the city, occupying a small amount of public space, Schindler, C4 Berlin, and inno2grid want to ensure that they also bring something positive to the area where they are located.
As part of the community-oriented design approach, one of the students‘ tasks was to understand the target group and its specific needs, draw insights from research, and develop ideas and concepts based on the conclusions reached.
