• The formal admission requirement is a good or very good undergraduate degree in one of the following subjects (university or university of applied sciences):
  • M.A. Communication Design and Creative Strategies: creative study programs, especially in design or fine arts
  • M.A. Digital Journalism: arts and humanities, especially with one of the following core areas: sport, medicine, psychology or business administration, social sciences or language, communication, journalism, media studies
  • M.Sc. Business Psychology: general or specialised psychological study program with at least 20 credit points acquired in psychology-related subjects and at least 10 credit points acquired in statistical/methodological subjects
  • M.A. International Marketing and Media Management: general business administration, a specialized area of business administration program or in another economic or social science with at least 20 credit points acquired in management-related subjects
  • M.A. Public Relations and Digital Marketing: communication, media or marketing
  • M.A. Visual and Media Anthropology: degree in any subject followed by a minimum of one year of work experience (internship, jobs, projects). This work experience should be related to your first degree or to some sort of media practice.
  • M.A. Artificial Intelligence and Societies: a first undergraduate degree (university or university of applied sciences).

• There is no restricted admission in terms of a numerus clausus but applicants have to pass through the university's own selection process.

For study admission second-language speakers of Englisch (Campus Berlin and Campus Frankfurt/Main) or German (Campus Cologne) must have the following language skills:

• M.A. Communication Design and Creative Strategies Level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR)
• M.A. Digital Journalism: Level C1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR)
• M.Sc. Business Psychology: Level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR)
• M.A. International Marketing and Media Management: Level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR)
• M.A. Public Relations and Digital Marketing: Level C1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR)
• M.A. Visual and Media Anthropology, M.A. Artificial Intelligence and Societies: fluent proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is a must, but a certificate is not required.

• Complete transcript of your undergraduate studies: credit points earned, marks, course contents
• If applicable, documents relating to other academic achievements, vocational training, relevant job experience etc.
• An official certificate of equivalence for any documents/qualifications issued outside Germany to show that they are equivalent to German documents/qualifications**
